Vision
All children in Malaysia are ensured and guaranteed of their full rights, particularly the four General Principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) concerning non-discrimination; the best interests of the child; the right to life, survival and development; and respect for the views of the child.

Mission
The Child Rights Coalition Malaysia (CRCM) works to support implementation of the UN CRC and promote children’s rights in Malaysia. The CRCM membership consists of organisations and individuals committed to promoting children’s rights and we work together to advance a child rights agenda.
Advocacy
The Child Rights Coalition Malaysia advocates for the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and promotes children’s rights in Malaysia. Advocacy activities will include long- and short-term projects aimed at promoting public awareness, policy reform and other changes to strengthen the rights of children in Malaysia.

Child Participation and engagement
The CRCM will promote children’s participation in advocating for children’s rights. Believing that children have a right to express their own viewpoints on issues that concern them, children’s feedback will be sought for the CRCM’s reports through events with groups of children. Involving children will help develop their capacity for further advocacy on their own behalf, and the CRCM can model child participation to other groups of adults who work on children’s issues.

Capacity-Building
The CRCM will build capacity in two areas, one focused on developing a strong Coalition, and the other on strengthening the ability of individual CRCM members to promote children’s rights.
